Election Time at Tanyati!

Good Morgan everyone!

So, HuMom says it is election week.  She says that we need to vote for our favourite party.  I said I’d like to vote for a party where there are lots of presents and cake and stuff.  Erin says she’d like to vote for a party where there are lots of soft toys to play with.  Shakira says she’d like to vote for a party where you get to sleep in the sun all day. 

HuMom says we have the wrong idea!  So she explained it all to us and we have formed 2 parties.  The first one is Bella’s party.  She calls it the “Fawns Have More Fun Party”.  My little brother Zanto (who can’t speak very good English, but he’s trying) was chosen to lead the other party and so he called it the “Brindles Are Beautifulest Party”.  HuMom looked like she was about to say something about Zanto’s English, but then she just patted him on the head, kissed him on the nose, and said “That’s a lovely name my boy!”.

So, on Wednesday we are all going to line up (HuMom says we have to do it without arguing or calling each other names) and then we are going to vote.  I can’t wait.  On Tuesday Bella and Zanto will each get a turn to tell us all why their party is the best and why we should vote for them.  Personally I think Bella is very beautiful and I don’t care what she says.  I will vote for her.  I told HuMom that I was going to vote for Bella even though Zanto says brindles are ‘Beautifuller’ and she said that voting is supposed to be a secret and so I must not say who I will vote for.  But I’ll still vote for Bella!

My brother’s Tiglets

Good Morgan everyone!

Well, my little brother’s babies have arrived.  They are very cute, and they all have tiger stripes, just like my sister Maya.  I do not think they are as beautiful as MY babies, but HuMom says I must not say that sort of thing out loud….  I have been watching the tinies trying to walk and I think the problem is that they are too fat and their legs are too short!  HuMom says it’s because they are only 2 weeks old and that they are actually doing very well, but I’m pretty sure I was running around the garden at 2 weeks old.

HuMom says we can keep one of the girls and we are all VERY excited!  We are all thinking up names.  I want to call her “Cuddles”, ‘cos that’s my favourite thing in the world.  My daughter Kayla wants to call her “Fluffy Toy” ‘cos that’s her favourite thing in the world.  HuMom just laughs at us and says SHE will choose her name.  I hope it’s a good one!

More little Tiglets on the way…

Good Morgan everyone!

There’s a lot of excitement here at Tanyati today! My tiger striped sister, Maya, is going to have puppies! HuMom sat us all down this morning to tell us the news that Maya will have babies and that her husband is my little brother Zanto (who does not speak very good English).  I am not sure how he managed to convince her to marry him if he does not speak English…  Perhaps he has been secretly learning when none of us were looking!  I know that he has been spending a lot of time speaking to Bella and my daughter Kayla through the fence….

So, we are all starting to prepare for the little ones to arrive.  HuMom says they will be here in 4 weeks time, so we are starting to make toys for them and I am going to draw a little picture of a battle so that they know what will be expected of them when they are older…  You know…  Clean teeth, shiny coats and all that.  I’m just a little worried that the puppy stork will not know our new address, but HuMom says that she sent him a letter telling him where we live.

So, you must hold thumbs that Maya’s puppies will arrive safely.  HuMom says they will all be little Tiglets as they will all have tiger stripes like Maya!  How much fun is that?  It’s soooo cool!

My daughters are great warriors!

Good Morgan everyone!

I am sooo proud of my 2 daughters, Baby (Ch Tanyati Broadway Debut “Brandy”) and Punkin (Tanyati Enchanting “Kayla”).  They went to a battle with HuMom on Saturday and they both had such shiny coats and clean teeth that the human in the middle of the battle ground thought they were the BEST!  Punkin was the Best Junior in Show and Baby was the Best Mover, Best Red and Reserve Best in Show!

HuMom says that they have really good jeans from me.  I looked all over the place, and I cannot find those jeans HuMom is talking about.  Neither Baby nor Punkin are wearing them, and I didn’t even know I had any jeans to start off with.  Sometimes HuMom gets confused…

Emma-grating and leaving heaters turned on…

Good Morgan everyone!

Oh….my….word!  It has been soooo long since I last wrote to everyone!  I have been real busy doing all sorts of things that I just did not have time!

Lots and lots of things have happened since I last managed to sneak into the study and sit at HuMom’s PC to write something.  I can’t even remember everything.  I think I will rather just say that we are all very well here at Tanyati, but we are VERY hot.  “Why?” I can hear you ask…  Well, it’s simple.  We emma-grated.

Emma-grating is when you get in a car and drive for hours and hours and hours and eventually arrive in a VERY hot place that has an empty house and no familiar smells.  That’s what happened to us 2 weeks ago.

Some people came into the house where I was born and took out everything and put it in a VERY big truck.  Then the truck left and HuMom and HuDad and all of us kids at Tanyati slept on the floor for a night.  Then HuMom woke us up ever so early and told us we were going on a road trip and we all bundled into HuMom’s car and HuDad’s car and off we went.  All THIRTEEN of us…  In TWO cars…

We drove and drove and drove and drove.  Then we stopped and I was very happy!  But all that happened is HuMom said it was time for us to go make widdles and then we got back in the car and drove and drove some more.  This happened a few times.  Eventually, at midnight, we arrived at a place and HuMom said we could get out and do a piddle and we did not need to get back in the cars.  We were VERY happy!  This new house was very empty though and for another 2 nights we all slept on the floor.

Two days later, that same big truck arrived at the gate and delivered all of our stuff, even my favourite couch!  We were all very happy that we did not need to sleep on the floor AGAIN.  HuMom spent about a week taking all sorts of things out of all sorts of boxers and making comments like “Oh heavens!  Where will I put this?” and “Oh no! I didn’t realise we brought this!” and “I’m going to have to buy another cupboard for all of this…”.

Now we are all settled in our new house and we love it.  Except that someone forgot to turn the earth’s heater off at the end of winter and it is VERY hot here!  I am sure someone will be getting a very high electricity bill!  We now live in the Western Cape, near a place called Stellenbosch, and it is very beautiful here.  But the BEST part is that HuMom does not have to go out to work every day and she spends the whole day with all of us.  I love my HuMom and I love my HuDad for saying HuMom can stay at home with us!

My little brother, who does not speak very good English, wanted to say hello.  So I let him write a letter to you.  He is learning to speak English now (I am teaching him) and I am quite proud of him.  Here is his letter:

Boldog születésnapot kis testvér

Good Morgan everyone!

Are you all confused?  Hahaha!  “Boldog születésnapot kis testvér” means “Happy birthday little brother” in Hungarian!  It is my little brother Zanto’s first birthday today!  Since we are battling to teach him to understand English I decided to learn Hungarian!  HuMom says I am her best boy for being so considerate.

So, this weekend we are having a party for him.  I will be wrapping the presents and I’ll also help HuMom to make the cake.  I think I will definitely need to taste it as we go along to make sure that it tastes good…

Oooooh!  There are going to be more babies at Tanyati in a few weeks!  Both Raven and Bella have been telling everyone how they went on dates and that soon they will have babies.  It is SO exciting here when puppies arrive.  HuMom tells us all about them and shows us pictures of them when they are too small for us to touch noses with.  But my favourite time is when we are allowed to see them for real.  I love puppies.  They give me ‘happy feet’, which is when I jump straight up in the air and backwards all in one go!  HuMom says I am very athletic.  Tee hee.

So, that’s the little bit of news at Tanyati for now.  Oh!  Except for my tiger striped sister Maya.  She had to have an operation on her front leg because something made it sick.  She is very happy now because her leg looks pretty again.

Letter from Casey – stitches and Mommy learning to talk

Hello my dad Morgan! 

I must apologise for don’t writing for so long! My Mommy has been so very slack about leaving her computer on for me to write. 

I am so glad to hear you are getting better and am very sorry about your Mommy – we said prayers. 

First I have to tell you that I had a little accident, I cut my paw on the wooden fence that’s supposed to keep us out of the cat’s garden. It’s high – Mommy says 1.5m high – and last week me and Dex wanted to get to Daddy on the other side, so Dex jumped over (he did that so easily – he’s a very very tall boy now – Mommy calls him her little horsie) and then I did but I am not so tall and I ripped my foot. It was bleeding and I made red footprints EVERYWHERE – this is because when Mommy was trying to catch me I ran away a lot. So we ran around for a while and then Mommy shouted at me – very loudly – I did not like that. She took me to the vet lady and they said that Mommy had to leave me there for an operation. Mommy had a little cry but I really think it was because Cu and Morgan were behaving so badly – they took leads from the shelf and were crawling on the floor and pretending to be dogs – I think Mommy wanted to leave them there and rather bring me home…  

So I hate my bandages – I pull them off and Mommy has to put new ones all the time, ya, about 4 a day. Then back to the vet every second day – it’s so horrible. Then today we went back and I had to have another operation because me and Dex were especially wild yesterday and all my stitches came out. The vet lady was most disappointed at Mommy for not keeping me calm – Mommy was not happy at all about that. But I’m going to try very hard to be a good girl – I definitely don’t want to have another operation. The one cool thing is that Mom’s been letting us sleep on the bed with her – and we love to cuddle. Dad doesn’t love it so much, he gets very cross, but we all put our sad facies on (and Mom too) and then he shakes his head. On the weekend Dad came home late and he was not happy when he came to bed because it was me and Dex and Mommy and Cu and Morgan and Amber and Mashi and Zalo – all on the bed. He said he was going to sleep somewhere else. Then he told Mommy in the morning that the only ones missing from the bed were Gemma and the snake and that it’s ridiculous. Mommy called him a meanie. 

Mommy has been reading this book and I am not sure if I like that book – when she reads it she cries all the way through – but then I do like that book because when she stops reading it she TALKS to us – LIKE IN DOGGY LANGUAGE!!! How cool is that?! She told me and Dex it’s a book about talking to animals. She’s not brilliant at it yet but she is getting better. Cu can do it too – he’s really good at it – he should teach Mommy. Amber, the cat who is the boss of our house, says that sometimes she and Mommy talk and that Mommy can talk cat – just needs to learn dog. I help her though so when she tells me to sit and stuff I do it so nicely and Daddy can’t believe his eyes! And it’s nice you know, before just all that noise coming out of her mouth and how must we know what she means? So I think I actually love the book – even though it makes Mommy cry. 

I’m going to go have a sleep on the bed now – Mommy’s going out tonight and I just know Dad’s not going to let me sleep there when she’s gone. 

I will write again soon – I didn’t even tell you all my news but I’m so tired from all the stitches and bandages.

So, my little brother has clean teeth…

Good Morgan everyone!

So, today HuMom got up very early and off she went to take my brother (who does not speak English) to a battle.  Even though he cannot speak English I gave him some tips and told him how to show the judge his teeth.  Well, it must have worked because when they came back from the battle HuMom told me that the judge thought he had the whitest teeth of all the Boxers!  And THEN…  The judge thought he had the second best white teeth of ALL the puppies!  WOW!  Maybe he can understand English after all.

Very sad news…

Good Morgan everyone.

Today is a very sad day at Tanyati.  My real mom, Danni, died.  We have all been crying today and none of us wanted to play any games.  HuMom has also been crying and I have tried to be a very good boy and I cuddled her and licked her gently, just like my mom used to do.  She says I am a special boy who had a special mom and that I am one of the luckiest Boxers in the world.  I know that my mom is now playing fetch with Lord Inca and my granddad Merlin and all the other Tanyati Boxers that went to heaven before us so that they could make it all nice for us when it’s our turn.
